El Arte de la Prudencia - Baltasar Gracian / 세상을 보는 지혜 - 발타자르 그라시안

발타자르 그라시안의 책을 샀다.

 

같이 테니스를 치는 Pedro 와 함께 서점에 가서 샀다.

Pedro의 고향도 발타자르 그라시안의 고향이라고 했다.

나중에 함께 그들의 고향에 방문하기로 했다.

 

스페인어로 책을 샀다.

발타자르의 생각을 음미해보고 싶다.

 

 

1. Hoy todo ha logrado la perfeccion, pero ser una auténtica persona es lla mayor. Más se precisa hoy para ser sabio que antiguamente para formar siete, y más se necesita para tratar con un solo hombre en estos tempos que con todo un pueblo en el pasado.

 

Today everything has reached a state of perfection. Therefore being an genuine person is the greatest achievement. One wise man now knows more wisdom than seven wise men in the past. Also, more are needed to deal with one man compared to the past.

 

지금 우리가 사는 세상은 완벽해지고 있다. 이러한 세상에서 Genuine 한 사람이 되는 것은 개인의 삶에 있어서 큰 성취이다. 일곱명의 현자보다 한명의 현자가 더 많은 것을 알고 있는 세상이다. 사람 여러 명을 관리하는 것 보다 한 명을 관리하는데 더 많은 것이 요구되는 세상이다.

 

2. Carácter e inteligencia: los dos polos para lucir las cualidades; uno sin otro es media buena suerte. No basta ser inteligente, se precisa la predisposición del carácter. La mala suerte del necio es errar la vocación en el estado, la ocupación, la vecindad y los amigos.

The bad luck of a fool is happened by making a mistake of of his mission. (when he is on his job)

 

감성과 지성. 양 끝단에 있는 가치들이다.

지성만 갖은 자는 반쪽짜리 운을 갖게 된다. 지성만으로는 절대 운을 가질 수 없다. 감성도 가져야만 한다. 어리석은 자의 불행은 본인의 업을 잘 수행하지 못할 때부터 발생한다.
